Domestic flights within China: China Eastern carries pets in the cabin on designated routes source Within China, China Eastern carries a small pet in the economy cabin on its designated pet-in-cabin routes (36 domestic cities, about 630 routes as of April 2026) — check that your route is one of them.
Within China, on those routes you can buy a seat for your pet by phone (95530): a 1,288 CNY service fee plus the seat's fare. Seat-occupying pets get a larger box (up to 55×35×35 cm) and a higher weight limit (pet + box up to 18 kg).
Show these rules Contact 95530 at least 48 hours before the flight to change a date, switch flights, or cancel the booked animal transport. Book the cargo or hold service, then mark the 48-hour cutoff on the calendar. Any adjustment attempted inside that window will not go through. Call 95530 while the deadline still holds to keep the change valid.
Transport is blocked when the temperature at any waypoint on the travel day falls to minus 12 degrees Celsius or below, or rises above 30 degrees Celsius. Check the forecast for every waypoint, not just departure and arrival. Route around a cold connection that touches minus 12 degrees Celsius. Rebook to a warmer day when the numbers cross either limit.
