Flying your dog with Royal Air Maroc? Good news first: the cabin door is open to dogs, so small travellers can ride up front with you rather than below deck. The science here is simpler than it sounds, and the paperwork is where trips actually stall. Pixel, my Cavalier, has taught me exactly which forms customs officers want to see. Let's get the details right before you book.

Royal Air Maroc's pet policy splits into cabin and cargo. This page summarizes the weight limits, fees, brachycephalic-breed restrictions, and carrier specifications for both modes — sourced from the airline's official pet pages.

Royal Air Maroc requires dogs in the cabin to be booked at least 48 hours before departure. Passengers booking travel less than 48 hours in advance will be asked to provide the required forms at the airport counter. Reserve the cabin pet slot two full days out. Prepare and carry the health and vaccination documents to hand over at check-in when booked late.
Royal Air Maroc prohibits snub-nosed pets on RAM flights. The restriction covers breeds including British Shorthair, Burmese, Exotic Shorthair, Himalayan, Persian, and Scottish Fold cats. Confirm the breed against this banned list before purchasing a ticket. Choose a different carrier for any flat-faced animal on the prohibited list, since acceptance will be refused at the gate.
Royal Air Maroc charges air cargo pet fees by route and crate weight. For a crate between 47 and 70 kg to or from Europe and Maghreb, the fee is 2880 MAD, equal to 290 EUR. To or from Africa, America, and the Middle East, the fee is 520 units in MAD, EUR, USD, or CAD. Budget the exact route amount before booking.
Royal Air Maroc gives dogs three doors, cabin, cargo, and hold, but the right one depends on your dog's size, breed, and route. Pull it all together into one personalized plan instead of juggling scattered rules. Build your travel plan with Pawgo's plan-builder: enter your dog and your route, and get the exact documents, fees, and deadlines for your actual trip. Pixel and I recommend starting early.
