Volaris requires a signed liability waiver for brachycephalic dogs traveling in cargo. Breeds including the Affenpinscher and American Staffordshire Terrier fall under this rule. Collect the waiver letter at a Volaris counter before the flight. Sign it there rather than assuming online check-in covers it. Verify the specific breed appears on the airline's brachycephalic list ahead of the counter visit.

Volaris charges 250 USD one way for a dog traveling in the cabin. Budget 500 USD for a round trip on that basis. Pay the fee per direction, not once for the booking. Add this amount to the base fare when comparing Volaris against other carriers. Confirm the 250 USD figure at booking, since low-cost fares list pet charges separately from the ticket.
Volaris earned a solid row in my comparison table, but a spreadsheet built for one cat is not a plan built for your dog.
