Voyager en Autriche avec son animal demande trois documents dans le bon ordre : une puce électronique, un vaccin antirabique dans la fenêtre d'attente de la destination, et un certificat sanitaire émis par les autorités. L'identification par puce électronique s'impose pour tout animal marqué depuis le 3 juillet 2011. Faites poser la puce avant toute autre étape du dossier. Un tatouage antérieur au 3 juillet 2011 reste valable tant qu'il demeure clairement lisible. Vérifiez la lisibilité du tatouage avant le départ. Sans marquage conforme, le contrôle échoue à l'entrée en Autriche.
Le contrôle s'effectue uniquement à des points d'entrée désignés. Six aéroports sont autorisés : Vienne-Schwechat, Linz, Salzbourg, Innsbruck, Graz-Thalerhof et Klagenfurt. Choisissez un vol arrivant à l'un de ces aéroports. Une arrivée hors de cette liste bloque le passage du contrôle vétérinaire. Confirmez l'aéroport de destination avant de réserver le billet.
Questions fréquentes
Autriche exige-t-il un test sérologique antirabique (titrage) ? Uniquement pour les animaux en provenance d'un pays ne figurant pas sur la liste (annexe II) de l'UE. Ces animaux doivent passer un test de titrage des anticorps antirabiques dans un laboratoire agréé. Les animaux venant de l'UE ou de pays listés non. Et si mon vol est retardé au-delà de la validité du certificat sanitaire ? Si la fenêtre du certificat expire avant l'embarquement, il faudra le faire réémettre. Prévoyez 1 à 2 jours de marge entre la date du certificat et le départ pour absorber les retards mineurs. Que se passe-t-il si j'oublie un document ? À l'aéroport de destination : au mieux, une inspection prolongée le temps que vous trouviez une copie ; au pire, l'animal est mis en quarantaine ou renvoyé à l'origine à vos frais. Apportez des copies imprimées.
Le délai réglementaire à respecter est de 30 jours avant l'expédition. Comptez ce délai de 30 jours d'isolement et de protection sous supervision officielle dans votre calendrier de départ. Lancez les démarches au moins 30 jours à l'avance. Un dossier engagé trop tard décale la date de voyage. Bloquez cette période avant de fixer les billets.
L'Autriche demande puce, vaccination antirabique, certificat sanitaire et une quarantaine à anticiper : rien d'insurmontable avec un calendrier propre.
