La puce électronique doit être posée avant la vaccination antirabique : l'ordre compte, pas seulement les cases cochées. Faites poser la puce en premier, puis vaccinez. À l'arrivée, l'entrée se fait uniquement par les ports de Limassol et Larnaka. Signalez l'arrivée de l'animal au bureau vétérinaire de district avant d'atteindre le territoire chypriote.
Certaines races sont interdites d'entrée à Chypre, quel que soit le pays d'origine : Pit Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull, Japanese Tosa, Tosa Inu, Dogo Argentino et Mastiff. Vérifiez la race inscrite sur les documents officiels avant de réserver. Un croisement identifié comme l'une de ces races déclenche le refus. Questions fréquentes
Mon animal a-t-il besoin d'une puce électronique pour Chypre ? Oui. Chypre exige une puce électronique aux normes ISO, posée avant la vaccination antirabique pour être valable. Combien de temps avant le voyage le vaccin antirabique doit-il être fait pour Chypre ? Le vaccin antirabique doit prendre effet au moins 30 jours avant l'entrée, et peut être administré dès 12 semaines. Voyager avant ce délai rend la vaccination invalide à la frontière. Et si mon vol est retardé au-delà de la validité du certificat sanitaire ? Si la fenêtre du certificat expire avant l'embarquement, il faudra le faire réémettre. Prévoyez 1 à 2 jours de marge entre la date du certificat et le départ pour absorber les retards mineurs. Que se passe-t-il si j'oublie un document ? Le test de titrage des anticorps doit se faire sur un prélèvement sanguin réalisé au moins 30 jours après la vaccination, dans un laboratoire agréé par l'UE. Programmez la vaccination puis attendez ces 30 jours pleins avant la prise de sang. Décomptez ce délai en amont de la date de départ pour éviter un test invalide et un voyage reporté.
