L'ordre des étapes décide de tout pour la Jamaïque. La puce électronique doit être posée AVANT la vaccination antirabique. Une vaccination administrée avant l'implantation de la puce n'est pas reconnue. Faites d'abord poser la puce chez le vétérinaire. Vaccinez contre la rage seulement après. Vérifiez que la date du vaccin est postérieure à celle de la puce sur chaque document.
Quatre races sont interdites d'importation en Jamaïque : Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Tosa japonais et Pit Bull Terrier. Un chien appartenant à ces races ne peut pas entrer sur le territoire. Confirmez la race exacte inscrite sur les papiers d'identification avant tout achat de billet. Pour un croisement, obtenez une confirmation écrite du vétérinaire attestant que l'animal n'appartient à aucune race listée.

Mon animal a-t-il besoin d'une puce électronique pour Jamaica ? Oui. Jamaica exige une puce électronique aux normes ISO, posée avant la vaccination antirabique pour être valable. Combien de temps avant le voyage le vaccin antirabique doit-il être fait pour Jamaica ? Le vaccin antirabique doit prendre effet au moins 90 jours avant l'entrée, et peut être administré dès 13 semaines. Voyager avant ce délai rend la vaccination invalide à la frontière. Et si mon vol est retardé au-delà de la validité du certificat sanitaire ? Si la fenêtre du certificat expire avant l'embarquement, il faudra le faire réémettre.
