Papua New Guinea requires the import permit and accompanying test results to be endorsed by the authorised quarantine veterinary officer of the exporting country. Route the AAHL test result and permit for that official endorsement before travel. An unendorsed permit is not accepted at entry, so confirm the veterinary officer's signature is in place ahead of departure.
Dogs and cats may arrive only at the approved ports, and only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Lae is restricted to prior arrangement. Book flights that land on one of those three weekdays at an approved port, and confirm the day before ticketing. An arrival outside these days risks refusal regardless of correct paperwork.
All companion animals are subject to 2 days of quarantine isolation for close observation on arrival. Budget for those 2 days of facility fees and confirm the current rates in advance.
