La sédation n'est pas requise avant le vol en soute. Un chien sédaté peut paraître somnolent et souffrant, ce qui bloque l'embarquement, car un animal malade est refusé au fret. Présentez le chien éveillé et alerte au terminal. Évitez tout calmant avant l'arrivée. Signalez tout signe de fatigue au personnel du terminal fret.
Questions fréquentes
Et si mon vol est retardé au-delà de la validité du certificat sanitaire ? Si la fenêtre du certificat expire avant l'embarquement, il faudra le faire réémettre. Prévoyez 1 à 2 jours de marge entre la date du certificat et le départ pour absorber les retards mineurs. Que se passe-t-il si j'oublie un document ? À l'aéroport de destination : au mieux, une inspection prolongée le temps que vous trouviez une copie ; au pire, l'animal est mis en quarantaine ou renvoyé à l'origine à vos frais. Apportez des copies imprimées.
