Le prélèvement sanguin destiné au titrage antirabique doit être réalisé au moins 30 jours après la primo-vaccination, et le test doit dater de moins de six mois avant le départ. La fenêtre se referme des deux côtés. Fixez la vaccination, comptez 30 jours jusqu'à la prise de sang, puis six mois en avant pour connaître la dernière date de départ utilisable.
Une quarantaine minimale de 14 jours après l'arrivée s'applique à tous les animaux entrant aux Seychelles, quel que soit le statut rabique du pays de provenance. Aucune exemption « pays indemne » n'est prévue. Réservez l'hébergement et le vol retour en considérant que les 14 premiers jours appartiennent au centre de quarantaine, puis faites confirmer la réservation par écrit auprès des services vétérinaires.
Questions fréquentes
Combien de temps avant le voyage le vaccin antirabique doit-il être fait pour Seychelles ? Le vaccin antirabique doit prendre effet au moins 30 jours avant l'entrée. Voyager avant ce délai rend la vaccination invalide à la frontière. Et si mon vol est retardé au-delà de la validité du certificat sanitaire ? Si la fenêtre du certificat expire avant l'embarquement, il faudra le faire réémettre. Prévoyez 1 à 2 jours de marge entre la date du certificat et le départ pour absorber les retards mineurs. Tout ce qui dépasse cette quinzaine se facture en plus. Demandez aux services vétérinaires de confirmer par écrit ce que couvre la période annoncée avant tout virement, et conservez le reçu avec les documents d'arrivée.
Les Seychelles, c'est un projet de six mois qui se termine par une très belle semaine. Nala vous dirait que le chenil de quarantaine n'est pas la partie amusante, et elle aurait raison, mais c'est le prix de sentiers que peu de chiens voient.
