La puce électronique doit être posée avant la vaccination antirabique. Faites d'abord identifier l'animal, puis vaccinez : un vaccin antérieur à la puce n'est pas reconnu. Vérifiez que la date de puçage précède celle du vaccin sur chaque document. Pendant le transit, le lot ne doit être mélangé à aucun autre animal traversant un pays tiers. Contrôlez ces dates avant de réserver le vol.

Le certificat du test antirabique reste valable 365 jours. Planifiez le prélèvement pour que cette validité couvre encore la date d'arrivée. Notez la date d'émission et comptez 365 jours à partir de là. Si l'échéance tombe avant le voyage, refaites le test à temps.
