Mon animal a-t-il besoin d'une puce électronique pour Chine ? Oui. Chine exige une puce électronique aux normes ISO, posée avant la vaccination antirabique pour être valable. Et si mon vol est retardé au-delà de la validité du certificat sanitaire ? Si la fenêtre du certificat expire avant l'embarquement, il faudra le faire réémettre. Prévoyez 1 à 2 jours de marge entre la date du certificat et le départ pour absorber les retards mineurs. Que se passe-t-il si j'oublie un document ? À l'aéroport de destination : au mieux, une inspection prolongée le temps que vous trouviez une copie ; au pire, l'animal est mis en quarantaine ou renvoyé à l'origine à vos frais. Réservez ce créneau vétérinaire tard, jamais des semaines à l'avance. Vérifiez que le praticien détient bien l'accréditation USDA avant la prise de rendez-vous.
