Ces règles ne s'appliquent qu'aux animaux ayant un historique de voyage particulier. La plupart des voyageurs peuvent les ignorer — mais si l'une vous concerne, l'omettre peut entraîner un refus d'entrée.

La puce électronique doit être posée avant la vaccination contre la rage. Faites implanter le microchip en premier, puis programmez le vaccin antirabique après cette pose. Un vaccin administré avant l'identification ne compte pas et impose de recommencer. Vérifiez la date de pose sur le carnet avant toute injection. Respectez cet ordre strict pour éviter un rejet à l'entrée au Japon.
La notification préalable au service de quarantaine animale doit être envoyée au moins 40 heures avant l'arrivée. Transmettez cette notification au port d'entrée prévu dans ce délai. Ciblez précisément le port choisi, pas un autre. Préparez le dossier assez tôt pour tenir cette marge. Un envoi tardif bloque le passage. Confirmez la réception avant le départ vers le Japon.
Questions fréquentes
Mon animal a-t-il besoin d'une puce électronique pour Japon ? Oui. Japon exige une puce électronique aux normes ISO, posée avant la vaccination antirabique pour être valable. Combien de temps avant le voyage le vaccin antirabique doit-il être fait pour Japon ? Le vaccin antirabique doit prendre effet au moins 180 jours avant l'entrée, et peut être administré dès 12 semaines. Voyager avant ce délai rend la vaccination invalide à la frontière. Japon exige-t-il un test sérologique antirabique (titrage) ? Uniquement pour les animaux en provenance d'un pays ne figurant pas sur la liste (annexe II) de l'UE. Ces animaux doivent passer un test de titrage des anticorps antirabiques dans un laboratoire agréé. Les animaux venant de l'UE ou de pays listés non. Et si mon vol est retardé au-delà de la validité du certificat sanitaire ? Si la fenêtre du certificat expire avant l'embarquement, il faudra le faire réémettre. Prévoyez 1 à 2 jours de marge entre la date du certificat et le départ pour absorber les retards mineurs. Que se passe-t-il si j'oublie un document ? À l'aéroport de destination : au mieux, une inspection prolongée le temps que vous trouviez une copie ; au pire, l'animal est mis en quarantaine ou renvoyé à l'origine à vos frais. Apportez des copies imprimées.
Le permis d'importation exige un délai de 40 jours. Déposez la demande au moins 40 jours avant l'arrivée prévue. Comptez ce délai dès la réservation des billets pour ne pas décaler le voyage. Rassemblez les documents requis avant de lancer la procédure. Un dépôt trop proche de la date reporte l'entrée. Bloquez ce délai dans le rétroplanning.
