Le certificat sanitaire officiel destiné à la Thaïlande reste valide 10 jours. Comptez à rebours depuis la date d'embarquement. Programmez la visite vétérinaire et l'endossement officiel à l'intérieur de cette fenêtre de 10 jours. Un document daté trop tôt devient invalide au comptoir. Un délai dépassé entraîne le refus d'embarquement de l'animal. Bloquez ces dix jours dans le calendrier de départ.
Aucune race de chien n'est interdite à l'importation en Thaïlande. La restriction ne vient pas du pays d'arrivée. Les compagnies aériennes imposent leurs propres limitations de races. Consultez directement la politique animale de la compagnie choisie avant l'achat du billet. Vérifiez la race déclarée sur la réservation. Confirmez son acceptation en cabine ou en soute auprès du transporteur.

Mon animal a-t-il besoin d'une puce électronique pour Thaïlande ? Oui. Thaïlande exige une puce électronique aux normes ISO, posée avant la vaccination antirabique pour être valable. Combien de temps avant le voyage le vaccin antirabique doit-il être fait pour Thaïlande ? Le vaccin antirabique doit prendre effet au moins 30 jours avant l'entrée, et peut être administré dès 12 semaines. Voyager avant ce délai rend la vaccination invalide à la frontière. Et si mon vol est retardé au-delà de la validité du certificat sanitaire ? Si la fenêtre du certificat expire avant l'embarquement, il faudra le faire réémettre. Prévoyez 1 à 2 jours de marge entre la date du certificat et le départ pour absorber les retards mineurs. Que se passe-t-il si j'oublie un document ? À l'aéroport de destination : au mieux, une inspection prolongée le temps que vous trouviez une copie ; au pire, l'animal est mis en quarantaine ou renvoyé à l'origine à vos frais. Apportez des copies imprimées.
Le traitement du permis d'importation demande 30 jours. Déposez la demande au moins 30 jours avant la date de départ prévue. Rassemblez les pièces justificatives en amont de ce délai. Ajoutez une marge pour les compléments réclamés par l'autorité. Fixez le rendez-vous vétérinaire une fois le permis obtenu. Faites remonter cette échéance de 30 jours en tête du rétroplanning.
